Varuthini Ekadashi Rituals
The observance of Varuthini Ekadashi involves several rituals:
1. Wake up during the Brahma Muhurta, the auspicious time before dawn, and take a purifying bath. Make a resolve to observe the fast.
2. Set up a wooden platform and place an image of Lord Vishnu on it, covering it with red or yellow cloth.
3. Offer Panchamrit (a mixture of milk, curd, ghee, honey, and Ganga water) to Lord Vishnu.
4. Light incense, lamps, and camphor as offerings.
5. Chant a mantra of Lord Vishnu, perform the ‘Aarti’, and distribute Prasad among all.
