How to check SBI balance via missed call or SMS

The country’s largest banking sector, State Bank Of India (SBI), offers services to its customers via a toll-free number and SMS facility available on the SBI Quick app. SBI account holders can get SMS banking and mobile services, account balance details, and mini-statements by just giving a missed call or an SMS from the registered mobile number.

The toll-free number is 9223766666, the one through which users can receive balance details by SMS or a call on their devices.

How to check the balance

Users can give a missed call on the toll-free number or send an SMS ‘BAL’ to 9223766666.

Get a mini-statement

To receive a mini-statement that includes the last five transactions, customers can send SMS ‘MSTMT’ to 9223866666.

Checkbook request

For requesting a checkbook with SBI SMS banking and mobile services, the user needs to follow some procedures. They are as follows:

Step 1: ‘CHQREQ’ to 09223588888

Step 2: The customer will receive an SMS on the registered mobile number.

Step 3: Next send consent SMS (CHQACCY6 digit no. received in SMS) to 09223588888.

Step 4: Finally, you will receive an SMS within 2 hours of a request for further processing.

Getting e-statement

Step 1: The last six months’ e-statement can be received by customers with a savings bank account in SBI.

Step 2: The statement will be provided with their registered email ID, which is a password-protected PDF file.

Step 3: Now send an SMS ‘ESTMT to 09223588888’.

Step 4: The code will have a 4-digit number that will be of the user’s choice and is used to encrypt the PDF attachment sent to the registered mobile numbers.

HOW TO REGISTER FOR SBI SMS BANKING AND MOBILE SERVICES

Step 1: The SBI account holders need to register their account numbers to avail of the SMS and mobile services.

Step 2: Then they need to send an SMS ‘REG Account Number’ to 09223488888 from the registered mobile number for the specific account.

Step 3: After the previous method is done successfully, the customer will get a confirmation message that is shared if the message is successful or unsuccessful.

Note: SBI account holders can also check all the data like net banking, mobile banking, SBI branch, passbook, and ATMS via net banking service.
