New Delhi: India logged 1,27,952 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours with 1059 fatalities. During the same time, 2,30,814 recoveries were reported.

The North-Eastern state of Mizoram reported 1,777 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. The active caseload in the state stood at 14,999. The daily positivity rate in Mizoram has touched 27.38 percent.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra logged 13,840 new cases of infection with 81 fatalities, the state health department said on Friday.
On the same day, Punjab recorded 1,379 fresh infections to its COVID-19 caseload, taking the cumulative figure to 7,50,272. While 25 more fatalities took the toll to 17,392. The number of active cases stands at 14,321.
While on the other hand, Delhi recorded 2,272 fresh cases with 28 deaths in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate in Delhi stands at 3.85 percent.
Considering the fall in cases, the Delhi government has decided to reopen schools, colleges, and other educational institutions from February 7. The night curfew has also been reduced by one hour from 11 PM to 5 AM.
