Twitter user Nitin Misra ordered samosas from startup company Samosa Party but he wasn’t expecting his snacks to be labelled with serial numbers. Nitin couldn’t keep himself from sharing a picture of his delectable snacks with serial code engraved on it. This photo has left netizens in splits.
Nitin Misra shared the picture of his samosas with a tongue-in-cheek caption, “Samosas I ordered had serial numbers. Can tech pls stay away from my halwai (sic).” The post has gone crazy viral on social media. It has 12.5k likes and 879 retweets.
After the post went viral, Nitin Misra received incessant messages. Why, you may ask? Well, people missed the point of his tweet altogether and started messaging him to place orders for the samosas with serial numbers. So, he finally had to take to Twitter to post yet another tweet where he also mentioned the startup company’s name. “Folks – Please stop sending me DMs and placing orders for Samosas. Place your orders at @Samosa_Party (sic),” he wrote.
Samosa Party is a Bengaluru-based startup that serves variety of crispy samosas in Bengaluru as well as Gurugram. They stamp the samosas with different serial codes in order to distinguish between the varieties available. Now, that’s smart, no?
The comments section is replete with hilarious remarks. “Please don’t buy such samosas, this is an out-dated technology of 1800s. Buy those samosas only with QR codes which is encrypted hence more secure (sic).” “This is scary – next what rasgulla with QR code (sic),” another comment read.
