The leaks around the upcoming OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro are popping up at a higher pace than usual. Also, several media reports are hinting towards an early launch. Keeping that in mind, we decided to stack up everything we know so far about the upcoming OnePlus flagships.
OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro are the latest flagships expected from the house of OnePlus. The company’s previous strategy of launching two flagship devices a year could take a turn this year. Reports suggest that OnePlus could maker has started pushing devices across all segments. Last year the smartphone maker launched six devices in total, out of which three devices arrived under the Nord moniker.
We earlier detailed the upcoming OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro in separate articles, and here we’re jotting down another detailed rumour roundup. As per the recent, the OnePlus 9 lineup may soon see a global launch.

OnePlus 9 series: What we know so far
Several reports, leaks, renders and videos have popped up to help us with the ins and outs of the upcoming OnePlus 9 lineup Rumours suggest that we might see an affordable flagship too apart from the regular OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro this time around. We barely have any information about this device. However, we know that this smartphone may be dubbed as OnePlus 9 Lite or OnePlus 9E.
–A leak from last year says that the OnePlus 9 lineup will be codenamed – Lemonade. The leak further reveals the model numbers and codenames of the upcoming OnePlus devices, which are as follows.

lemonadev — Verizon OnePlus 9 (LE2110)

–The OnePlus 9 was previously leaked via a Chinese blog revealing the complete design of the device.–The live picture surfaced showcases a grey smartphone purported to be the OnePlus 9. The rear panel seems to have a glass finish as seen on most OnePlus devices. Further, the image shows a rectangular camera bump with two huge camera sensor and another small tertiary sensor. On the front, the smartphone can be seen holding an almost bezel-less flat display with a hole punch cut out on the top left of the display.

–Like the OnePlus 9 leaks have popped up to reveal the design of the upcoming OnePlus 9 Pro. A popular tipster Onleaks shared a few renders of the same back in November last year. This was our first look at the upcoming OnePlus flagship through which we know that the OnePlus 9 Pro will follow the same design language as the OnePlus 9, apart from a few changes here and there.
— The render shows a smartphone with a larger curved display which is supposed to be the OnePlus 9 Pro. It holds a hole-punch camera on the front and a slightly tweaked camera setup on the rear.
–Apart from this a Youtuber Dave Lee released a video titled “an early look at the OnePlus 9 Pro. I think.” The footage showcased a few leaked pictures of the OnePlus 9 Pro which were received on his discord server from an anonymous user. These pictures are in line with the previously leaked images, thereby confirming the design of the device.
–Also, about the OnePlus 9 Lite/9E, there’s not much information about the design. However, we know that this device could ship with a plastic back to cut down on the manufacturing cost.
–These three devices could feature varying hardware on the inside, considering these devices will be sold in different price segments.

–The OnePlus 9 is expected to ship with a 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. Now, this device should be powered by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 888 SoC coupled with a minimum of 8GB RAM and 128GB of non-expandable UFS 3.1 storage.
–In the camera department, the OnePlus 9 is expected to ship with a 48-megapixel primary shooter, a 48-megapixel ultrawide shooter and an unknown tertiary shooter. On the front, the device may get a selfie shooter.
–Now through a reliable OnePlus leaker, we know that the device will ship with a 4500 mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging and 30W fast charging. Moreover, the leaker also claimed that the device would ship with a 65W charger out of the box.

–The upcoming OnePlus 9 Pro is the brand’s flagship smartphone hence, its natural for the smartphone to receive maximum attention.
–The smartphone will probably feature a 6.78-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. Moreover, the display will be curved on the sides, as mentioned before.
–The OnePlus 9 Pro will expectedly ship with the same Snapdragon 888 SoC which could power the OnePlus 9. It is an octa-core SoC built on a 5nm manufacturing process and coupled with Adreno 660 GPU. The SoC comes with Qualcomm’s X60 5G modem which supports all Wi-Fi 6/6E and 5G bands.
–The video by Dave Lee (Youtuber) revealed some interesting facts about the OnePlus 9 Pro. Through it, we know that the device could ship with 11GB of RAM and 256GB non-expandable UFS 3.1 storage.

–Another interesting change is in the camera department as hinted by the leaked pictures reveal a Hasselblad branding. For starters, Hasselblad is a Swedish brand that specialises in camera and lenses. This Hasselblad branding suggests that OnePlus is partnering with the brand for the cameras on the upcoming OnePlus 9 Pro.
–As far as camera specs are concerned, the device is expected to sport four camera sensors and laser autofocus. The camera array may include dual 48-megapixel cameras, a primary sensor which will pixel bin 12-megapixel shots. Other three cameras will consist of a 48-megapixel ultrawide sensor and two other sensors, specs of which are currently unknown.
–The camera software on the OnePlus 9 Pro will be updated as revealed in an APK teardown. A few notable features are tilt-shift mode, moon mode, hyper-lapse, focus peeking and more.
–Finally. The device is expected to sport a 4500mAh battery with support for 65W wired fast charging and faster 45W wireless charging.
OnePlus Lite/9E
Last year a report claimed that the OnePlus 9 Lite /9E would feature similar hardware to OnePlus 8T. If this is true, the smartphone should ship with Snapdragon 865 and not Snapdragon 870 (overclocked Snapdragon 865). Apart from this, the device is expected to get 90Hz or 120Hz AMOLED display and support for 65W fast charging.
The camera system should remain unchanged from the OnePlus 8T, reports suggest.
OnePlus 9 lineup India launch
OnePlus 9 is one of the most awaited smartphone lineups. To remember the OnePlus 8 lineup was made official on 14th April last year. This year’s launch is slated a coupled of weeks before the previous launch date. Which means we could witness the OnePlus 9 launch in the coming month.

OnePlus has a huge market in India and keeping that in mind, OnePlus tends to launch its devices at aggressive prices in India. Currently, there’s no information about the pricing of these devices. However, we expect the OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro and OnePlus 9 Lite/9E to launch at starting prices of Rs 54,999, Rs 59,999 and Rs 49,999, respectively.
