Indian Railways train delay update: 26 Delhi-bound trains delayed due to very dense fog – Check complete list here

Indian Railways in a statement informed that several trains are running late due to very dense fog and coldwave in North India.

Dense fog has caused significant delays in train services across North India, with visibility in Delhi-NCR dropping to near zero. According to Indian Railways, 26 trains to Delhi are running late due to the fog affecting the capital and other parts of North India on Friday (January 10).

Hundreds of flights and trains have been cancelled or delayed due to thick fog in the past few weeks in North India.

Delhi weather forecast

On Friday morning, a thick fog covered the national capital, reducing visibility to nearly nothing. At 5:30 am, Delhi recorded a temperature of 9.6 degrees Celsius, as reported by the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The IMD has forecasted a minimum temperature of 6 degrees Celsius for the day, with a maximum temperature reaching around 20 degrees Celsius, accompanied by “very dense fog.”

The air quality in Delhi has also worsened, with the AQI falling into the ‘severe’ category. The Central Pollution Control Board recorded the AQI at 409 at 7 am, up from 299 at the same time yesterday.
