Vivo has launched its latest smartphone, the Y29 5G, in India, with prices starting at INR 13,999. The device is available in four configurations: 4GB+128GB, 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB, and 8GB+256GB, priced between INR 13,999 and INR 18,999.
The Vivo Y29 5G is designed to offer a durable and affordable option for users in the under INR 20K segment. It is notable for being the first smartphone in this category to achieve SGS certification and military-grade shock resistance. In addition to these durability features, the device also carries an IP64 rating, making it resistant to dust and water splashes.
The Y29 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone is equipped with a 5500mAh battery, which supports 44W FlashCharge.

In terms of design, the Y29 5G features a thickness of 8.1mm and a weight of 198g. The smartphone includes a circular dynamic light around the camera module, available in three colour options: Glacier Blue, Titanium Gold, and Diamond Black.
The Y29 5G’s camera system is another key feature, with a 50MP rear camera offering AI-enhanced photography capabilities. The camera includes features such as AI Photo Enhance and AI Erase, designed to improve image quality and remove unwanted elements from photos. The 8MP front camera is intended for clear selfies, while a rear flash aids in low-light photography.
