PM Vishwakarma Yojana: The Modi government launched the PM Vishwakarma Yojana on September 17, 2023, to assist artisans and craftsmen. People are showing a lot of interest in this scheme. The government said in Parliament on Tuesday that banks opened more than 2.02 lakh accounts under the PM Vishwakarma Yojana till October 31 and sanctioned loans worth Rs 1,751.20 crore.

18 traditional workers have been kept under the PM Vishwakarma Yojana. These include carpenters, boat builders, blacksmiths, hammer and tool makers, goldsmiths, potters, stone craftsmen, leather workers, masons, carpet, broom and basket makers, washermen, tailors, fishing net makers, etc.

How to apply
The application for PM Vishwakarma Yojana can be done online through the official website pmvishwakarma.gov.in. After opening the website, you have to click on the apply online option and after filling in the required information, you have to complete the registration. For registration, the beneficiary must have an Aadhar card, PAN card, income certificate, identity card, residence certificate, and bank passbook.

Loan of Rs 3 lakh at 5 percent interest
Under the PM Vishwakarma Yojana, a loan facility is provided to set up self-employment or enterprise. A loan of Rs 3 lakh is given under this scheme. This loan is being given to the beneficiaries at only 5 percent interest.
