LIC, LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to launch the Life Insurance Corporation of India’s (LIC) new scheme — Bima Sakhi Yojana in Haryana’s Panipat today. The LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana has been designed to empower women and financial inclusion. The Prime Minister will also distribute appointment Certificates to prospective Bima Sakhis.

What is a LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana?
LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana is a Stipendiary Scheme, exclusively for women, with a stipendiary period of 3 years. Under the Bima Sakhi Yojana, the candidate will receive specialized training and a stipend for the first three years to promote financial literacy and insurance awareness.
After training, they can serve as LIC agents and the graduate Bima Sakhis would have the opportunity to qualify for being considered for Development Officer roles in LIC.
LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana 2024 Age Limit
The minimum age limit for entry to the LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana is 18 years while the highest age limit is 70 years. “Minimum completed age should be 18 years as on date of application. Maximum age at entry will be 70 years (last birthday),” LIC said.

LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana 2024 Qualification
The minimum qualification to apply for LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana is a Class 10 pass.
LIC: Bima Sakhi Yojana Commission
Under the LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana, the first-year commission (excluding bonus commission) is Rs 48000.
LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana Stipend
In the first year, the candidate will get a stipend of Rs 7000 per month. In the second year, he/she would get a stipend of Rs 6000 (subject to at least 65% of Policies completed in the First stipendiary year are in force as at the end of the corresponding month of the second stipendiary year) while in the third year, the candidate would get a stipend of Rs 5000 (subject to at least 65% of Policies completed in the Second stipendiary year are in-force as at the end of the corresponding month of the third stipendiary year).

LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana: Who Can Apply?
Under the LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana, the relatives of existing Agents or employees shall not be eligible to be recruited. Relatives shall include the following family members – Spouse, Children including adopted and step children (whether dependent or not), Parents, Brothers, Sisters, and immediate In-laws. A retired employee of the Corporation or an Ex-agent or an existing agent can not apply for the the recruitment under Bima Sakhi Yojana.
LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana Application Form
For LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana, a candidate needs to submit the following documents with the application form. These are a self-attested copy of the Age proof, a Self-attested copy of the Address proof, and a Self-attested copy of the certificate of Educational Qualification.
