According to industry sources, CNG prices in Delhi may be revised after the assembly elections due in January/February.

the gas companies did not reasons for the price hike but the hike was warranted according to sources, as the firms now have to buy expensive gas following two rounds of supply cut in regulated or APM gas.

Supplies of APM gas from domestic fields of ONGC have not kept pace with CNG demand and there have been supply-cuts twice since mid-September, forcing city-gas retailers to buy costlier non-APM gas or expensive LNG.

CNG rates also vary as per varying states and local taxes such as VAT.
