Anmol Bishnoi had claimed responsibility via a Facebook post for the firing incident outside Salman Khan’s house. On April 14, two motorbike-borne persons opened fire outside Salman Khan’s residence in Bandra area of Mumbai. Mumbai Police alleged the arrested accused were members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and were in touch with Anmol.
With a litany of criminal cases against him, Anmol fled India last year using a fake passport and was previously believed to be residing in Canada.

Anmol Bishnoi’s role in Baba Siddique’s murder
Baba Siddique, a former Maharashtra minister and senior leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) led by Ajit Pawar, was killed after being shot by three individuals in Bandra East, Mumbai, on October 12 evening. The Mumbai Police said the three suspected shooters were in contact with Anmol Bishnoi.
Two of the accused, Ramphool Kanjoia and Nitin Sapre, allegedly told investigators that Anmol coordinated the attack. They also claimed that Anmol provided the shooters with photographs of Siddique and his son, Zeeshan. Accused Shiv Kumar Gautam told police that another wanted accused Shubham Lonkar was his handler, who told him that gangster Anmol Bishnoi wanted to create terror in Mumbai.
