How to Generate an Aadhaar Virtual ID
Through the Official WebsiteVisit the official website of the Unique Identification Authority of India ( UIDAI ).Choose your preferred language, either Hindi or English.Click on the “Virtual ID (VID) Generator” under Aadhaar Services at the bottom of the page.Enter your Aadhaar card number and the captcha code.Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number.Your Virtual ID will appear on the screen and will also be sent to your registered mobile number.
Through SMS
You can also generate a Virtual ID via SMS. Send a message from your registered mobile number with the format “RVID [last 4 digits of Aadhaar number]” to 1947. For example, if the last four digits are 4565, send “RVID 4565.”
