The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has launched Phase II of its highly anticipated “Sasta Ghar” housing scheme, offering over 2,600 affordable flats across some of the city’s top localities, including Rohini, Dwarka, Narela, and more. The initiative aims to provide affordable housing options to residents of Delhi.
The new housing scheme has received a positive response, with DDA officials reporting that more than 600 flats were sold within hours of the launch. This time, over 2,500 flats are available in locations such as Rohini, Dwarka, Mangolpuri, Ramgarh, Loknayakpuram, Siraspur, and Narela, among others.
Among all the locations, Mangolpuri saw all 191 EWS (Economically Weaker Section) flats sold out in the first few hours, while flats in Rohini and Narela are also selling quickly. In fact, more than 200 EWS flats in Narela were snapped up almost immediately.
“This initiative is a crucial step by DDA to address the growing demand for affordable housing in Delhi,” said a DDA official. “We aim to help more people secure their own homes in Delhi, and all the flats offered under Phase II of the ‘Sasta Ghar’ scheme are ready to move in immediately.”
The flats are available for booking through DDA’s website, where potential buyers can register in advance. Interested buyers are also encouraged to visit the site for a closer look at the available units.
Phase II is part of an ongoing effort by DDA, which also continues the sale of remaining flats from Phase I of its three housing schemes: Sasta Ghar, Madhyama Vargiya, and Dwarka Housing Scheme, launched in August 2024. Out of the nearly 9,000 flats offered in Phase I, about 1,650 flats were sold on a first-come, first-served basis in areas like Jasola, Narela, Rohini, Loknayakpuram, Ramgarh, and Siraspur by the end of September.
