Prayagraj Mahakumbh Mela 2025: There is good news for car drivers in Uttar Pradesh. Actually, the state government has taken a major decision on the toll tax. In Uttar Pradesh, cars will not be required to pay tolls for 45 days. The decision has been made in view of the Maha Kumbh Mela, which is scheduled to take place in Prayagraj in January 2025.
The Yogi government has stated that numerous toll plazas will be toll-free for people who wish to visit Kumbh Mela. The government has taken this significant step in conjunction with the National Highway Authority of India.
Devotees traveling to the Mahakumbh will not be required to pay tolls for their cars. The Yogi government has declared that seven toll plazas would be toll-free.
No Tolls For 45 Days
According to reports, the Yogi government has announced that no tolls will be collected from devotees at the Umapur toll plaza on the Chitrakoot highway, the Mauaima toll on the Ayodhya highway, the Andhiari toll on the Lucknow highway, the Mungari toll on the Mirzapur road, the Handia toll on the Varanasi road, or the Kokhraj toll on the Kanpur road for 45 days during the Mahakumbh.
They will be allowed free access to the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj.

This time around, over 40 crore people are anticipated to visit the Mahakumbh. Facilities at Sangam and around the city are being expanded to accommodate the growing number of devotees.
Most pilgrims are anticipated to arrive in their cars. According to the Mela administration, 55 percent of devotees will arrive by car, Jeep, bus, truck, and tractor, with the remaining 45 percent arriving via train, roads, and airplane. The railways intend to run 1200 special trains and over 7000 road buses during the Mahakumbh.
