In a statement shared with the media today, Nothing said the Community Edition Project—which kicked off in March—attracted over 900 entries from 47 countries. Winners Astrid Vanhuyse and Kenta Akasaki (hardware design), Andrés Mateos (wallpaper design), Ian Henry Simmonds (packaging design), and Sonya Palma (marketing campaign) worked closely with Nothing’s design, creative, and marketing teams in London to bring their concepts to life. Their efforts resulted in a striking glow-in-the-dark version of the Phone 2a Plus, offering a unique twist to the original.
With this project, Nothing is reimagining how companies and communities can collaborate, creating a future where the boundary between brand and users dissolves. This initiative represents the first major step toward co-developing hardware, software, and content with Nothing’s fans, the company reiterated.
