Attention Airtel, Jio and Vodafone customers, calling rules to change from November 1

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has taken initiatives to stop fake calls and sms from November 1. The initiatives would help to curb such practices as it often creates menace for the users.

The TRAI has asked all the telecom operators to implement it strictly. A user can experience a few changes in making calls.

A few people misuse smartphones for their wrong doing. It is being observed that hackers target users and make their bank account empty. The new rules have been made to contain misdeeds of such people. TRAI has made the rules and it will be implemented from next month.

The facility of message traceability will be implemented from November 1. If a user receives an anonymous message, it can be investigated. A few keywords would be able to identify the spam calls and messages. If these messages fall under the category of fake or spam, it will be blocked. A user can also lodge a complaint against the sender of the message.

The TRAI is ensuring the safety of users after witnessing a large number of spam calls not only upset the users but also involved in misdeeds like banking frauds and others.
