However, DA would be released before the festival, which is on Oct 31. The cabinet also decided that the survey of all castes and communities being taken up by the BC Commission, along with the planning department as the nodal agency, should be completed by Nov 30.
Over 80,000 staff (enumerators) drawn from various departments and corporations, and another 10,000 supervisors would start going house to house to collect details from Nov 4 or 5, by which time they would be trained on how to collect, register, and compile data.
The cabinet also approved repairs, expansion, and development of existing and new roads under the purview of panchayat raj and rural development, and roads and buildings departments.
This is estimated to cost Rs 28,000 crore for 17,000 km of roads and is targeted to be completed in the next four years in a privatepublic partnership mode. A high-level committee would be constituted to prepare the detailed project report.
It was also decided to take up a project to remove silt from all major and medium reservoirs, with a pilot project in the Kadem project in Nirmal district. Remaining reservoirs would be taken up for desilting in a phased manner.

The cabinet approved the transfer of govt employees in three categories: spouse cases, health grounds, and mutual transfers, as employees demanded that GO 317 of the previous govt effected transfers in an unscientific way. Likewise, GO 46 affected employees will be rendered justice in postings.
