IndiGo launches new flight service, connects Varanasi and Delhi via Khajuraho

The service will boost tourism in the region, Khajuraho airport director Santosh Singh said.

An IndiGo flight service connecting Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh to New Delhi via Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh was launched on Sunday (October 27), according to a senior official. On its inaugural flight, 44 tourists arrived in Khajuraho, while 52 passengers departed.

The flight schedule includes an arrival from Delhi at 10:30 AM, followed by a departure to Varanasi, with the return flight arriving back at 1:40 PM before heading back to Delhi.

Currently, Khajuraho is served by six flights each day, comprising three arrivals and three departures to various destinations. Santosh Singh, director of Khajuraho airport, highlighted that this new service will enhance tourism in the area.

“On the first, the flight brought 44 tourists to Khajuraho, while 52 departed from here. The flight will arrive in Khajuraho at 10.30am from Delhi and leave for Varanasi and in return it will arrive at 1.40 pm and leave for Delhi. At present, there are six flights (three arrival and three departures) connecting Khajuraho to other cities,” Singh said.
