UPSC Civil Services Main Result 2023 Reserve List Released, 120 Candidates Recommended

Those who participated in the examination can access the reserve list on the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in to obtain their results.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the reserved list for the UPSC Civil Services Exam Mains 2023. Those who participated in the examination can access the reserve list on the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in to obtain their results.

A total of 120 candidates have been recommended by the UPSC. ‘As sought by the Department of Personnel & Training, the Commission has now recommended 120 candidates which include 88 General, 05 EWS, 23 OBC, 03 SC and 01 ST, to fill up the remaining posts based on the Civil Services Examination, 2023. The candidates, so recommended, will be intimated directly by the DOP&T,” reads the official notice. Meanwhile, the candidature of 30 candidates is provisional.

UPSC Civil Services Reserve List 2023: Steps To Check

Step 1: Candidates should go to the official website of the Union Public Service Commission at upsc.gov.in.

Step 2: Go to ‘What’s New’ and click on the “Reserve List: Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2023” link on the homepage

Step 3: Once done, the UPSC Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2023 result PDF file will appear on the screen where candidates can check the list

Step 4: Check by searching your name or roll number and download the page

Step 5: Keep a hardcopy of the same for future reference

The result of the UPSC Civil Services Examination, 2023 was declared on April 16, 2024, wherein the commission recommended 1016 candidates for appointment to IAS, IFS, IPS, and certain other Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’ against 1143 vacancies.

The mains exam held on May 28, 2023, featured the GS 1 exam which took place from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, followed by CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test) from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. The UPSC Mains exam was conducted in two sessions: from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, spanning throughout September 2023. The final phase of the selection process, the interviews for the personality test occurred between January and April 2024. Aditya Srivastava secured the All India Rank (AIR) 1 in UPSC CSE 2023.
