Bengaluru Traffic Advisory: Starting Monday, the Bengaluru Traffic Police (BTP) will implement new restrictions to alleviate congestion on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) near HAL Airport Traffic Police Station.
Access to the ORR will be closed from Karthik Nagar, including the service road adjacent to Jeevika Hospital. Motorists heading towards Whitefield and Kundalahalli Gate from Marathahalli Bridge will need to take a U-turn at Karthik Nagar Junction.

For those travelling to Jeevika Hospital and Chinnappanahalli from Marathahalli Bridge, the recommended route is to go via Karthik Nagar, take a U-turn at Doddanekundi Junction, and then proceed along the Karthik Nagar Service Road to reach their destination.
In separate news, Bengaluru was hit by heavy rains again on Saturday, following a brief break from the downpours that caused widespread flooding earlier in the week. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported that by 8:30 PM, Bengaluru city had received 17.4 mm of rain, while HAL recorded 12 mm. The IMD also issued a yellow alert for Sunday, warning of more rain and thunderstorms.

Several areas, including Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Kengeri, Hebbal Junction and the Outer Ring Road, were severely affected, leading to traffic jams and flooding. Many residents took to social media to share their frustration, with one commenting, “I think 50 per cent of Bengaluru is underwater today without any doubt.”

Waterlogging and slow-moving traffic were reported across the city, with routes to the airport also disrupted due to flooding. The Central Business District (CBD) was heavily affected, causing major inconveniences. Persistent rainfall since October 16 has severely impacted daily life, prompting disaster response teams to be deployed to assist with relief efforts amid warnings of more rain.
