CLAT 2025 Registration Deadline Extended Till October 22, Steps To Apply at consortiumofnlus.ac.in

Eligible and interested candidates can apply for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025 on their official website at consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

The registration process for CLAT 2025 has been extended till October 22, 2024.  The applications which began on July 15 were scheduled to end on October 15 but have now been extended. “The last date for submission of CLAT 2025 online applications (for both U.G. and P.G. programmes) has been extended up to 11:59 P.M. of 22nd October, (Tuesday) 2024,” reads the official notice.

Candidates will require a recent passport-sized photograph, their signature, category certificate (if applicable), PWD certificate (if applicable), and domicile certificate (if applicable) to register.

CLAT 2025: Eligibility Criteria

UG programme — Candidates must have passed the 10+2 or the equivalent exam with at least 45 per cent marks (40 per cent for reserved classes).

PG programme — Candidates must have an LLB degree with at least 50 per cent marks (45 per cent for reserved classes).

Those candidates appearing for the qualifying exam in March/April 2025 can also apply. There is no age limit.

Steps to register for CLAT 2025

Step 1 – Visit the official website: consortiumofnlus.ac.in

Step 2 – Register by providing the necessary details and verify through an OTP.

Step 3 – Complete the registration by uploading the documents required.

Step 4 – Pay the application fee

Step 5 – Submit the form and print the confirmation page.

Candidates applying for CLAT must pay Rs 4000 for General, OBC, PWD, NRI, PIO, and OCI candidates and Rs 3500 for SC, and ST candidates.

This exam is essential for admission to the undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programmes at 22 National Law Universities (NLUs) and other participating universities.

The CLAT 2025 examination will be conducted on December 1, 2024, in an offline, written mode. The UG exam contains 120 questions divided across five sections which include — English language, current affairs and general knowledge, legal reasoning, logical reasoning, and quantitative techniques. Students will get two hours to write the test.
