Gold and silver rates today, October 11
The 24-carat gold rate in India was quoted for a price of Rs 75,250 per 10 grams on October 11. The rate for 24-carat gold per gram is Rs 7,525. The rate of 22-carat gold was Rs 68,979 per 10 grams.
“Buoyed by a robust US Nonfarm payroll report (September) and recovery in oil prices, the US yields continue to remain firm as both the 2-year and 10-year yields have climbed above 4%. Weakness in the bonds has been weighing on the yellow metal, which fell for the sixth consecutive day yesterday to close around 0.50% lower at $2607.Geopolitical tensions are elevated as Israel’s response is awaited. Biden and Netanyahu had a telephone conversation, though details of their discussion are scarce. Gold is expected to range trade as traders closely monitor geopolitical developments,” said Praveen Singh, Associate Vice President of Fundamental Currencies and Commodities at Sharekhan by BNP Paribas.
The price of 24-carat gold declined by 1.13% in the last week, and the yellow metal has fallen by 1.3% in the last ten days. The silver is available to customers today at a price of Rs 90,230 per kilogram.
