Stocks in Focus: GIFT Nifty traded higher as the index was down 20 points or 0.08% at 25,091 indicating a subdued start for domestic indices NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex on Friday. Previously, on Thursday, the NSE Nifty 50 closed the session 17 points or 0.07% higher at 24,998, while the BSE Sensex rose 144 points or 0.18% to close at 81,611.

Stocks to watch on October 11, 2024

TCS

The country’s largest information technology services firm, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) on Thursday reported a net profit of Rs 11,909 crore during the July-September quarter, which was down 1.1% on sequential basis. The company missed Bloomberg consensus estimate of Rs 12,547 crore, on the back of higher expenses. The consolidated revenues during the period was up 2.6% sequentially to Rs 64,259 crore, beating estimates of Rs 64,178 crore.

Tata Elxsi

Tata Elxsi reported a net profit surged 15% to Rs 229 crore in the second quarter of the current financial year. The company’s revenue from operations rose 8% to Rs 955 crore.

IREDA

Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) reported a 36% on-year increase in its net profit Q2 FY25 standing at Rs 387.75 crore due to higher revenues. The company recorded a net profit of Rs 284.73 crore a year ago in the same period.

Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders 

Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders announced that it received an order worth Rs 121.7 crore from Maharashtra State Power Generation Company (MAHAGENCO) for the supply, installation, and commissioning of an AI-based “comprehensive infrasecure project.”

Bandhan Bank

The Reserve Bank of India has appointed Partha Pratim Sengupta as the MD & CEO of Bandhan Bank. He has been appointed to the post for three years from the date of taking charge, which should not be later than November 10, the lender has informed the stock exchanges.

Oberoi Realty 

Oberoi Realty said its board of directors has approved a proposal to raise up to Rs 6,000 crore through various financial instruments.

Anand Rathi Wealth

Anand Rathi Wealth reported a 32.4% on year increase in the net profit standing at Rs 76.1 crore for the second quarter of the current financial year. The wealth management company posted a net profit of Rs 57.5 crore in the same period a year ago. The company’s revenue from operations rose 32.8% to Rs 242.5 crore against Rs 182.6 crore in the year-ago period.

Den Networks 

Den Networks reported a 14% on year increase in net profit at Rs 52 crore for the second quarter of FY25. The company reported a net profit of Rs 45.6 crore in the same period a year ago. The company’s revenue from operations declined 10% to Rs 249 crore against Rs 276.6 crore posted in the corresponding period of the last fiscal year.

Earnings Today

Reliance Infrastructure, Just Dial, Plastiblends India, Hathway Cable, Jagsonpal Finance, Jaypee Infratech, Atishay, PVV Infra, Universal Arts, and Sangam Finserv will release their quarterly earnings on October 11.
