Patna Traffic Advisory: Vehicles Restricted On THESE Roads From Oct 9-11 For Durga Puja And Dussehra Celebrations

Patna Traffic Advisory: In preparation for the Durga Puja and Dussehra celebrations in Patna, local authorities have implemented several traffic restrictions to ensure the smooth flow of vehicles and safety for visitors. From October 9 to October 11, entry of vehicles will be banned on numerous roads in the city and no-entry signs will be displayed for larger vehicles on certain routes.

This year’s festivities will see 389 large puja pandals and over a thousand smaller ones set up across the city.

Patna Traffic Advisory: Vehicles Restricted

As part of the traffic advisory, vehicles will be prohibited from travelling from the Income Tax roundabout to Dakbungla Chauraha during the celebration period. Additionally, heavy vehicles such as buses and trucks will not be allowed to enter Patna from Didarganj for the duration of the festivities.

Traffic DSP-2 Anil Kumar stated that the restrictions will remain in effect from October 9 to 11, with further route changes anticipated during the immersion process on October 12. Significant traffic alterations will be implemented around Dakbungla Chauraha, Income Tax Golambar and Kotwali.

Patna Traffic Advisory: Alternative Routes

Vehicles heading to Karbighiya will take a route from Income Tax Golambar via Veerchand Patel Path through R Block and GPO. For those travelling to Gandhi Maidan, the recommended route is from Nehru Path to Voltos Mor via Vidyapati Marg and Chhajjubaag. The road from Hanuman Mandir to Machhua Toli will also be closed to general traffic.

Additionally, vehicle movement will be restricted under Dumra Chowki and Jagdev Path in the Saguna area. The DSP has urged the public not to park on the roads, warning that traffic police will confiscate vehicles parked unlawfully and issue fines.

Traffic will also be closed between the West Gate and East Gate on Ashoka Rajpath, with diversions planned for Khazanchi Road. While vehicles will not be allowed to enter from Dinkar Golambar on Nala Road to Khazanchi Road, traffic will still flow from the opposite direction on Khazanchi Road.
