Gold, silver rate today: The gold MCX futures contracts with the expiry of December 2024 were quoted for Rs 76190 per 10 gm, an increase of Rs 47.

India has stopped into festivities, starting with a nine-day-long Navratri to Dussehra and then Diwali on the first day of November. The gold and silver buying started after a break of Shradha. However, the prices of both gold and silver shot up due to ongoing geopolitical tensions in West Asia.

The 24-carat gold rate in India was quoted for a price of Rs 76,120 per 10 grams on October 07. The rate for 24-carat gold per gram is Rs 7,612. The rate of 22-carat gold was Rs 69,777 per 10 grams.

“In times of geopolitical instability, particularly in the Middle East, gold often serves as a safe haven, while crude oil prices react sharply to concerns over supply disruptions. The uncertainty fuels a flight to safety in gold and drives energy markets to speculate on potential oil shortages, making both commodities a barometer of global risk sentiment,” said Narinder Wadhwa, Managing Director at SKI Capital Services.

The rate of 24-carat gold has risen by 0.8% in the last week, and the yellow metal has risen by 1.25% in the last ten days. The silver currently quotes at Rs 93,420 per kilogram. 

Gold rate in Mumbai on October 07

The 24-carat Gold was quoted for a price of Rs 76,120/10 grams in Mumbai on October 07, an uptick of Rs 10. Yesterday, the price of gold was quoted at Rs 76,110/10 grams. Seven days back, on September 30, gold was trading for Rs 75,510/10 grams.

Silver rate in Mumbai on October 07

The shining metal silver was selling for a price of Rs 93,420/Kg on October 07 in Mumbai. A day ago, the metal was priced at Rs 93,400/Kg and a week ago the price was Rs 90,520/Kg.

On October 07, the gold was quoted for a price of Rs 75,990/10 grams. The gold was selling for Rs 75,980/10 grams on October 06. While the price of the 999 gold was Rs 75,380/10 grams a week ago. 

Silver rate in Delhi on October 07

In Delhi, the silver was priced at Rs 93,260/Kg on October 07. The price of silver was Rs 93,240/Kg on October 06. The price of silver was quoted at Rs 90,360/Kg last week.

Gold rate in Kolkata on October 07

The city delves into the festival of Durga Puja with Gold and silver rates are in focus in Kolkata. The 24-carat gold rate in Kolkata was trading for a price of Rs 76,020/10 grams, today, October 07. The glittering metal was selling for Rs 76,010/10 grams yesterday and was quoting for Rs 75,410/10 grams last week.

On October 07, the gold rate in Chennai was Rs 76,340/10 grams with a little change of Rs 10 compared to yesterday’s price. On October 06, it was quoted for Rs 76,330/10 grams. A week ago, the price of gold was Rs 75,730/10 grams in Chennai.

Silver rate in Chennai on October 07

The silver rate in Chennai today, October 07, is Rs 93,690/Kg an increase of Rs 20 from yesterday. On October 06, the price of silver was Rs 93,670/Kg. The silver in Chennai was available to the customers for a price of Rs 90,780/Kg a week ago.

MCX Futures on October 07 

The gold MCX futures contracts with the expiry of December 2024 were quoted for Rs 76190 per 10 gm, an increase of Rs 47. While the futures contracts for silver with the December 2024 expiry on MCX futures were trading at Rs 93,500 per kg, a rise of Rs 151.
