Stocks in Focus: GIFT Nifty traded higher as the index was up 71 points or 0.28% at 25,256 indicating a positive start for domestic indices NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex on Monday. Previously, on Friday, the NSE Nifty 50 closed the session 235 points or 0.93% lower at 25,015, while the BSE Sensex fell 809 points or 0.98% to close at 81,688.45.

Stocks to watch on October 07, 2024

Titan 

Titan Company reported a growth of about 25% year-on-year in the second quarter of FY25. The company added 75 stores, taking Titan’s total combined retail network presence to 3,171 stores. Domestic jewellery operations saw an increase of 25% YoY.

IndusInd Bank 

IndusInd Bank reported net advances at Rs 3,56,980 crore as of September 30, 2024, a 13% on year jump compared to Rs 3,15,454 crore reported in the year-ago period. On a sequential basis, it was up by 3% as against Rs 3,47,898 crore posted by the lender in Q1 FY25. The deposits grew 15% on year to Rs 4,12,704 crore in Q2 FY25 against Rs 3,59,786 crore in the same period year ago. On a quarter-on-quarter basis, the growth was recorded at 4%.

Bandhan Bank

Bandhan Bank’s total business at the end of September 30, 2024, rose Rs 2,73,163 crore compared to Rs 2,19,712 crore reported in the same period a year ago. This is a 24.6% jump year over year.

Jio Financial Services 

Jio Financial Services secured an in-principle approval from SEBI to establish a mutual fund business in partnership with BlackRock Financial Management.

GAIL (India)

GAIL (India) and AM Green BV (AMG) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore projects aimed at advancing sustainable energy solutions in India. The company said that the partnership focuses on the long-term supply of carbon dioxide (CO2) for eMethanol production and the exploration of hybrid renewable energy projects across India. 

Lupin 

The U.S. FDA has completed a pre-approval inspection of the company’s biotech facility located in Pune, India. The inspection was carried out from 25 September 2024 to 04 October 2024, and concluded with five observations.

CG Power 

CG Power and Industrial Solutions (CG), part of the Murugappa Group, on Saturday, said it had acquired the radio frequency (RF) components business of Renesas Electronics Corporation (Renesas), a supplier of advanced semiconductor solutions for $36 million.

Apollo Tyres

The insurance behemoth LIC has raised its shareholding in equity shares of Apollo Tyres from 3,16,50,845 to 3,19,50,845, which translates to a stake increase of 5.30% from 4.983%.

Adani Energy Solutions 

Adani Energy Solutions incorporated a wholly-owned subsidiary Adani Energy Solutions Global. The acquisition does not fall within related party transactions. The acquisition of the investment holding company will enable Adani Energy Solutions to explore business opportunities in transmission projects outside India.
