Jamaica Prime Minister Andrew Holness is scheduled to visit Varanasi today. Holness would be welcomed by Governor Anandiben Patel and Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna upon his arrival at Lal Bahadur Shastri Airport.
According to the protocol, the PM Holness will land at Babatpur Airport at 11 AM and then head to Sarnath. He will explore the archaeological heritage and pay his respects at the site associated with Lord Buddha. Following this, he will proceed to Hotel Taj for a brief rest.

Later in the day, around 4 PM, he is expected to visit TFC located in Badalalpur. Afterwards, he will head to Namoghatt Ghat for a boat ride on the Ganges and witness the Ganga Aarti ceremony.
Finally, he will return to Babatpur Airport at around 8 PM to depart for Delhi, where his farewell will be conducted.
Amid Andrew Holness’ visit, a traffic advisory has been issued to ensure a seamless commute in the city. Several diversions have been made while some key routes have been closed for the traffic.

The Prime Minister of Jamaica will participate in the Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat on Tuesday evening. He will arrive at Dashashwamedh by boarding a cruise from Namo Ghat. In view of his arrival, security arrangements have been made in the Ganga. ACP Dashashwamedh, Pragya Pathak, inspected the security arrangements at the ghat.
