Noida International Airport To Start Operations From April 17, Ticket Bookings To Begin From THIS Month; Details

Noida International Airport is all set to begin operations soon, and the date for the same has been finalized. Passenger planes will start flying from the airport on 17 April. Before this, planes will land on the airport runway on November 30. Akasa and Indigo planes will land on the runway for commercial flight testing.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation will decide the number and destination of domestic flights to Noida International Airport in mid-October. Yamuna International Airport Pvt. Ltd. has applied to the International Air Transport Association for international flights.

A meeting was also held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Dr. Arunvir Singh, Chief Executive Officer of Noida International Airport Ltd., regarding the application and no objection of the central departments for the operation of Noida International Airport. It was attended by the officials of Noida International Airport Ltd., Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Airports Authority of India, and Yamuna International Airport Pvt. Ltd. Along with fixing the timetable for license and no objection for the airport, the date for starting commercial services and trials was also decided.

CAT 1 and 3 equipment have been installed at the airport. It will help the planes to land and take off on the runway even in low visibility. The calibration of the instrument landing system will be done between 4 and 6 October. The certificate for this will be issued by the central department by 15 October.

The developer company will apply to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation for flight testing by November 15 and will get permission for the trial by November 25. 

On November 30, aircraft of Akasa, Indigo, and the Airports Authority of India will land on the runway of the airport for the first time.

Along with this, commercial flight trials will be conducted. Aircraft like Airbus 319, 320, and 321 will be tested on the runway. The operation of the airport depends on this trial with the crew members. If the flight trial goes well, then the application for an airplane license will be made in December.

DGCA will issue the license to start flight service within sixty days. 

On February 6, the International Air Transport Association will issue information about the start of Noida International Airport at the international level.

Ticket Booking Will Begin In January-February

Ticket sales for travel from Noida International Airport will begin in January-February. It is necessary to start selling tickets for international services at least three months before the start of the flight service. Ticket sales for domestic flights will begin one and a half to two months in advance.

Number Of Domestic Flights Will Be Decided In October

International and domestic flight services will start on the first day of the beginning of operations at Noida International Airport. The developer company has applied to the International Air Transport Association for international flight services. The association has already held a meeting in this regard, but where the first international flight service will be has not been made public yet.

The first international flight service is likely to run to Dubai and Singapore. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation will hold a meeting by October 15 to decide the number and destination of domestic flight services. Initially, operations will begin at Noida International Airport with more than sixty domestic flights.
