Gold, silver rate today, October 1: The gold MCX futures contracts with the October 2024 expiry were trading at Rs 74,924 per 10 gm.

Gold and silver rates today, October 1

The 24-carat gold rate in India was Rs 75,510 per 10 grams on October 1. The rate for 24-carat gold per gram is Rs 7,551. The rate of 22-carat gold was Rs 69,218 per 10 grams.

The rate of 24-carat gold has risen by 1.28% in the last one week, and the yellow metal has risen by 1.75% in the last ten days. The silver is currently quoted at Rs 90,630 per kilogram.

Experts on Gold

Commenting on the gold outlook Jateen Trivedi, VP Research Analyst – Commodity and Currency, LKP Securities said that Gold prices remained range-bound between $2645-$2660 in Comex, and Rs 75,750-Rs 76,100 in MCX as the market braces for a series of crucial data releases this week. Profit booking could dominate the week as the market weighs the likelihood of additional rate cuts from Fed Chair Jerome Powell, with a total of 1% expected in 2024 following the 0.50% cut on 18th September. 

Trivedi also added that there is growing anticipation of another 0.50% cut in the next meeting, but participants are cautious. If upcoming unemployment data shows strong figures, the Fed might take a less aggressive stance, which could temper gold’s momentum. For MCX, support levels are seen at Rs 75,000-Rs 75,250, while resistance is near Rs 76,150-Rs 76,350.

Gold rate in Mumbai on October 1

The glittering metal was quoted for a price of Rs 75,510/10 grams in Mumbai on October 1. On September 30, the price of gold was Rs 75,1800/10 grams. Seven days back, on September 24, gold was trading for Rs 75,280/10 grams.

Silver rate in Mumbai on October 1

The shining metal silver was selling for a rate of Rs 90,520/Kg on October 1  in Mumbai. Whereas on Friday, the metal was priced at Rs 91,380/Kg and a week ago the price was Rs 92,390/Kg.

Gold rate in Kolkata on October 1

As less than 4 days are left for the Durga Puja, Gold and silver rates are in focus in Kolkata. In Kolkata, the 24-carat gold rate in Kolkata was trading for Rs 75,410/10 grams, today, October 01. The glittering metal was selling for Rs 75,520/10 grams yesterday and was quoting for Rs 75,180/10 grams last week.

Silver rate in Kolkata on October 1

The silver rate in Kolkata today was Rs 90,400/Kg. The price of silver was Rs 91,130/Kg on September 30. Last week, the price was trading at Rs 92,270/Kg.

Gold rate in Delhi on October 1

Diwali is just 30 days away and people in North India prefer shopping for jewellery and ornaments during winter festivities. On October 01, the gold was trading at a price of Rs 75,380/10 grams.

The gold was quoted at Rs 75,490/10 grams on Monday, September 30. While the price of the 999 gold was selling for a price of Rs 75,150/10 grams a week ago.

Silver rate in Delhi on October 1

In Delhi, the silver was priced at Rs 90,360/Kg on October 01. The price of silver was Rs 91,110/Kg on September 27. The price of silver was quoted at Rs 92,230/Kg last week.

MCX Futures on October 1

The gold MCX futures contracts with the expiry of October 2024 were quoted for Rs 74,924 per 10 gm, a jump of Rs 66. While the futures contracts for silver with the December 2024 expiry on MCX futures were trading at Rs 90,641 per kg, a fall of Rs 757.
