Previously, on Wednesday, the NSE Nifty 50 closed the session 63.75 points or 0.25% higher at 26,004, while the BSE Sensex fell 256 points or 0.30% to close at 85,169.87.

Rashmi Saluja, the executive chairperson of Religare Enterprises, has reached out to the Ministry of Finance and the Prime Minister’s Office for intervention amid allegations made by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and Enforcement Directorate (ED), Moneycontrol reported.
Oil India
Oil India is looking to start exploration activities in Nagaland and is engaged in discussions with the state and central government for the same, a top official of the company told FE. Over 1.81 crore shares with voting rights were sold under the transaction. Carlyle now holds 2.99 crore shares in the air carrier.
