Google has unveiled a significant redesign for its Contacts app on Android, aiming to streamline the process of creating and managing contacts. The updated interface introduces a more intuitive and visually appealing layout, making it easier for users to add new contacts and customise their information. One of the most notable changes is the simplified contact creation process.
How to create new contact
Users can now quickly add a contact by tapping the “+” button at the bottom of the screen. A new contact card will appear, prompting users to enter essential details such as name, phone number, and email address. The interface is designed to be clutter-free, allowing users to focus on the most important information.

In addition to the streamlined contact creation process, the redesigned Contacts app also offers enhanced customisation options. Users can now add profile photos to their contacts, making it easier to identify them in the list. There are also options to add additional details, such as nicknames, company names, and job titles.
Google has also improved the search functionality within the Contacts app. Users can now search for contacts by name, phone number, or email address, making it easier to find the person they’re looking for. The search results are displayed in a clear and concise format, making it easy to identify the desired contact.
