The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has sold over 1,100 flats within four hours on the first day of the booking for its ‘Sasta Ghar’ and ‘Madhyam Vargiya’ Housing schemes 2024, officials aware of the matter said.

These flats are located in Jasola, Narela, Rohini and Ramgarh Colony areas of the national capital. All 41 MIG (mid-income group) flats situated in Jasola were also sold on Tuesday.
All these flats are being allotted on a ‘First Come, First Serve’ basis under the DDA‘s housing schemes.
According to officials, in Rohini, more than 450 flats have been sold, including 100 in Ramgarh Colony, and all 41 in Jasola. Similarly, more than 350 flats have been sold in Narela.

Officials said that the Rithala–Narela–Kundli corridor of the Delhi Metro has led to the buyers’ interest in Narela. They said single-window enquiries on website, seamless information and handing over all property-related and ownership documents to buyers have contributed towards generating customers’ confidence and trust towards the DDA
DDA is offering around 40,000 flats in three separate housing schemes catering to buyers in distinct categories, including lower incomer group (LIG) and economically weaker section (EWS).

DDA’s ‘Sasta Ghar Housing Scheme 2024’ addresses affordable housing requirements. Under this scheme, LIG and EWS flats are being allotted at discounted rates in Ramgarh Colony (northeast Delhi), Siraspur (northwest), Loknayakpuram (west), Rohini (west) and Narela (north) on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. In this scheme, around 34,000 flats are up for grabs, with prices starting at around Rs 11.5 lakh.
