Previously, on Tuesday, the NSE Nifty 50 closed the session 105 points or 0.42% higher at 25,041, while the BSE Sensex rose 362 points or 0.44% to close at 81,921.

Tata Motors
On Tuesday, the Competition Commission of India announced that it approved the merger of Tata Motor Finance with Tata Capital. The merger, announced in June, will see Tata Capital issue its equity shares to the shareholders of Tata Motor Finance resulting in Tata Motors effectively holding a 4.7% stake in the merged entity.
Reliance Industries
Reliance Retail Ventures has entered into an equal joint venture with Israel’s Delta Galil Industries that will expand the company’s presence in India, a statement said.
HDFC Bank and Axis Bank
The RBI fined HDFC Bank Rs 1.91 crore and penalised Axis Bank Rs 1 crore. The central bank said in a statement that HDFC Bank has been charged a penalty for non-compliance with certain directions of RBI on interest rates on deposits, recovery agents engaged by banks and customer service in banks.
