Stocks in Focus: GIFT Nifty traded lower as the index was down 63 points or 0.25% at 25,192 indicating a negative start for domestic indices NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex on Friday. Previously, on Thursday, the NSE Nifty 50 closed the session 53.60 points or 0.21% lower at 25,145, while the BSE Sensex fell 151.48 points or 0.18% to close at 82,201.16.

Infosys

The Union labour ministry has directed the Karnataka authorities to look into the delays in onboarding freshers by Infosys and take appropriate action under relevant labour laws, even though the tech giant has started sending joining dates to those awaiting appointment letters since 2022.

Coal India 

State-owned Coal India aims to add 5 gigawatt (GW) of renewable energy capacity by 2028, a year earlier than the company had envisaged, its business development director Debasish Nanda said at the BloombergNEF summit here on Thursday.

Adani Green Energy 

A strategic joint venture (JV), equally owned by Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) and TotalEnergies, has been announced with the goal of managing a portfolio of solar projects totalling 1,150 MW. The projects are situated at Khavda, Gujarat, at the largest renewable energy plant in the world.

Adani Enterprises

The company approved raising Rs 800 crore via bonds. Also, it announces the early closure of the NCD public issue. Maharashtra Govt approves $10-billion semiconductor project by Israel firm and Adani Group.

KEC International 

KEC International secured new orders of Rs 1,423 crore for the design, supply and installation of 380 kV transmission lines in Saudi Arabia, said the company in an exchange filing on Thursday.

Ashoka Buildcon 

Ashoka Buildcon said its wholly-owned subsidiary, Viva Highways Ltd (VHL), has monetised land in Hinjewadi, Pune, for Rs 453 crore.

NLC India

The Ministry of Coal on Thursday issued allocation orders for three coal mines. Out of which, Machhakata has been allocated to NLC India.

Pidilite Industries

Pidilite Industries entered into an exclusive distribution agreement with CollTech Group, said the company in a regulatory filing.

Venus Pipes 

Venus Pipes & Tubes said the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) searched the company’s registered and corporate office, concluding on September 5, 2024. The search was initiated in connection with the alleged evasion of customs duty on imported goods. While the full impact of the investigation is yet to be determined, the company has already deposited Rs 5 crore as a duty under protest.
