A speeding UP Roadways Bus crushed a toll-booth worker to death on a highway in Kanpur Dehat district in Uttar Pradesh. The horrific episode was captured on CCTV.
In a shocking hit-and-run case, a speeding Uttar Pradesh Roadways Bus moving on the wrong side of a highway in the state’s Kanpur Dehat district, crushed a motorcycle rider to death and dragged his body for several meters before the driver sped away from the spot.
The disturbing hit-and-run incident was captured on a CCTV camera installed in the area, showing the speeding bus plying on the wrong side of the road and ramming the victim at breakneck speed and dragging him for several meters before speeding away.

In the CCTV clip, the bikar can be seen crossing the highway when he was run over the speeding bus coming from the other direction.

According to the police, the deceased, a toll booth worker, was on his way to work at the Bara toll plaza in Akbarpur Kotwali area, when the accident occurred.
A senior official said the the police have seized the bus which was abandoned by the accused driver who remains absconding after he fled the spot.
Police have registered a case against the driver and efforts are underway to nab him, he said.
