- Ahead of the festival, the management of Banke Bihari temple has advised the elderly and persons with disabilities to avoid visiting the temple during peak hours on Janmashtami amid the likelihood of overcrowding on that day.
- Temple managers Munish Sharma and Umesh Saraswat advised people to wear comfortable footwear, as entry and exit gates are separate.
- They also urged devotees to take necessary medications and medical precautions before visiting.
Banke Bihari temple Janmashtami Timings for darshan, bhog and aarti
- On the day of Janmashtami, the doors of the temple will remain open from 07:45 am to 12 noon.
- Banke Bihari Ji Shringaar Aarti will be performed at 9 am. Rajbhog will be offered to Banke Bihari ji at 11.55 am. And then after Aarti the curtain will be drawn at 12 o’clock.
- Devotees will be able to have darshan of Lord Krishna from 05:30 pm to 09:30 pm in the evening.
- Banke Bihari ji’s Gwal Aarti will be performed from 6.30 pm onwards.
- Evening Aarti will be performed at 07:30 pm.
- Mahabhishek of Banke Bihari ji will be performed at midnight, during which darshan will be prohibited.
- The doors of the temple will open with Mangala Aarti at 10.45 pm and devotees will be able to have darshan of Banke Bihari ji.
- Nandotsav will be celebrated at Banke Bihari Temple on 28 August 2024 from 07:45 am to 12 noon.
