New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee will not be opening the registration portal for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) today, August 24, 2024. Previously, scheduled to open the application link today(Saturday), the Institute has revised the registration dates. As per the revised dates, candidates will be allowed to fill up the application form for IIT GATE 2025 from August 28.

The last date to submit the regular online application form is September 26. However, the last date to submit the online application form with a late fee is October 7. The examination is scheduled to be held on February 1, 2,15, and February 16, 2024.

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national examination conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru and the seven Indian Institutes of Technology (at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee) on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB)-GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India.

Examination for some of the test papers in GATE 2025 may be held in multiple sessions. However, a candidate will be required to appear for the examination in ONLY one of the multiple sessions of the same paper.

- Visit https://gate2025.iitr.ac.in/index.html
- Look for the registration link.
- Sign up on the portal to register yourself.
- Enter the basic details to register yourself on the portal.
- Once done, fill out the application form.
- Upload the necessary documents, if any.
- Pay the application fee.
- Submit the online application form.

A candidate must first register by providing Full Name (as per the valid photo ID, which candidate MUST bring in original while appearing for GATE 2025 examination atthe examination centre), a valid e-mail address, mobile number and by choosing a password. All communications from the GATE Offices will be sent to this e-mail address (ONLY ONE PERSON CAN REGISTER WITH ONE e-mail ADDRESS) and/or mobile number. Give the personal mobile number and e-mail address, because most of the communication will be through e-mail and/or SMS.
