Mercedes Maybach EQS EV to Arrive in India on September 5, Here’s What to Expect

The German luxury car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has been investing efforts to boost their lineup globally. Even in India, the company has launched some interesting products. Now, it is gearing up to add another EV in the ultra-luxury segment.

It has been reported that the brand is all set to launch the EQS Maybach electric SUV. The release date has been set for September 5. The model has already made its official presence last year in China. The EV will join the company’s Maybach GLS SUV range in the Indian market, and will be positioned above the EQE 500 SUV.

Here’s What to Expect

Most of the details are under the curtains right now. Even the price details are expected to be revealed at the launch event. However, few significant pieces of information have surfaced on the internet, giving detailed insights about the upcoming EV.

Exterior

Visually, the battery-powered SUV will get chrome treatment from the outside, featuring a  Maybach-styled massive bonnet, multiple Maybach logos all over the body, and a signature-style grill at the front. The vehicle is expected to offer a slightly similar stance as the Maybach GLS, which went on sale recently.

On the side profile, the e-SUV will feature futuristic alloy wheels with Mayback badging, an additional Maybach logo on the D-pillar, and a sweet touch of chrome on both windows and cladding.

Interior

Jumping inside the cabin, the model will share an identical cabin to a regular EQS SUV. However, it will offer some noticeable enhancement, featuring Maybach-specific graphics, updated seats and an improved infotainment system.

All the seats will flaunt Nappa leather upholstery. For the rear passenger, it will have two 11.6-inch displays on board, allowing the occupants to enjoy a comfortable drive with non-stop entertainment.

As far as the powertrain is concerned, the model will arrive in top-end spec 680 trim. It will be equipped with 4Matic all-wheel-drive technology, generating a maximum power of 648 bhp and 950Nm of torque.
