Tata Motors is all set to launch the Tata Curvv EV in the Indian market tomorrow i.e., August 7, 2024. Petrol and diesel versions will be launched later with deliveries of the Curvv EV expected to begin soon. The Curvv was first showcased in April 2022 as an all-electric concept and then in its ICE form later in January 2023. Ahead of its launch, let’s take a look at everything we know so far.

In terms of design, the production-spec Curvv EV looks very similar to the concept version. It features a bold front end with an LED lightbar spanning across the width similar to what we’ve seen in the Nexon. It also gets a strong shoulder line with flared wheel arches which gives it a strong presence. At the sides, it gets flush door handles with a sloping roof line that blends into a short tail section. A few highlights include a rooftop-mounted spoiler, connected LED taillights, a diffuser and much more.

Moving inside, the interior of the Curvv EV takes inspiration from the Nexon.ev. It features a large floating touchscreen infotainment system which will likely measure 12.3-inch. Below it gets trapezoidal AC vents with a touch-based climate control panel as seen on the Nexon. Other highlights are a faux carbon-fibre finish on the dashboard, red ambient lighting, pillar-mounted tweeters, auto-dimming IRVM and much more.

Talking about the confirmed features, the coupe EV SUV will get a four-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo, automatic climate control, fully digital instrument cluster, auto-dimming IRVM, powered tailgate, ADAS and it will also get a large panoramic sunroof with ambient lighting on either side.

It’s expected to get other features such as, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, connected car tech, arcade.ev suite, ventilated seats, powered driver seat, wireless charger, voice assistance in multiple languages and much more. In terms of safety, we can expect features such as multiple airbags, ESC, TCS, ISOFIX mounts, 360-degree camera, reverse parking sensors, blind spot monitor, all four disc brakes and much more. Considering Tata Motors’s history with a good safety rating, we also expect the Curvv to score 5 stars for both adult and child occupant protection.
