Cryptocurrency Price on June 18: Bitcoin cracks below $65k mark; Altcoin slumps 8%

Cryptocurrency Price on June 18: The trading session on Tuesday cryptocurrency tokens was trading red. Tron, XRP, Ethereum, Solana, Bitcoin, and Toncoin all saw negative trades. In the meanwhile Altcoins like, BNB, Dogecoin, Shiba Inu, Cardano, Avalanche, Uniswap, and Chainlink saw losses of up to 8%.

At 3 pm, Bitcoin was down 0.58% at $65,616, while Ethereum was hovering arount $3.4k mark.

“Markets took a beating in the early hours today, Bitcoin slumped to its lowest price in a month below 65.5k USD as altcoins bled further with ETH losing 4% and SOL down more than 8%. The overall liquidations in the last 24 hours now stand at 480 million dollars across exchanges as per the data from Coinglass”, according to CoinSwitch Markets Desk.

“Bitcoin (BTC) continues to struggle under bearish pressure, with key technical indicators signalling potential further declines. The hourly MACD is gaining momentum in the bearish zone, suggesting increased selling pressure. Key support levels to watch are $65,000 and $64,500. Bitcoin’s ability to hold these support levels will be crucial in determining its short-term direction. Ethereum’s price has declined once more, retesting the $3,365 support level. A new upward surge towards $3,700 is possible if ETH remains above the crucial $3,365 support. The current price is below the 100-hour Simple Moving Average”, said Mr. Rajagopal Menon, Vice President, WazirX on the Crypto Market.

According to CoinMarketCap, the total amount of stablecoins is now $88.94 billion, accounting for 92.90% of the whole crypto market’s 24-hour volume.

Bitcoin, the world’s largest cryptocurrency, has seen its market capitalization drop to $1.29 trillion in the previous 24 hours. According to CoinMarketCap, Bitcoin now has a dominance of 54.80%. In the previous 24 hours, BTC volume was up by 101.32% to $36.09 billion.

Meanwhile, the global cryptocurrency market worth fell 1.78% to roughly $2.36 trillion in the previous 24 hours.
