Poco has announced that it is hosting a launch event in India and globally on May 23. The company has confirmed that it will launch the Poco F6 5G at the event. The event will kick off at 4.30 pm IST and in India it will likely be hosted in New Delhi. The launch announcement also confirms that the upcoming Poco F6 5G will be sold via Flipkart. However, for now, that is the extent of information that the company has shared about the launch and the device. Meanwhile, ever since Xiaomi launched the Redmi Turbo 3 in China last month, it is rumoured to bring the phone to India and other markets as a rebranded Poco F6. The Redmi Turbo 3 is Xiaomi’s first Redmi phone to be powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. If those rumours are true, we may already know everything about the Poco F6 smartphone.

Poco F6: Expected specifications
If the rumours suggesting that the Redmi Turbo 3 will be rebranded as the Poco F6 turn out to be true, we can expect the smartphone to be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. Drawing from the specifications of the Redmi Turbo 3, it is likely that the Poco F6 will boast a 6.67-inch 1.5K OLED display featuring a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate.
In terms of imaging capabilities, we can expect the Poco F6 to sport a dual-camera setup on the rear, comprising a 50-megapixel primary camera equipped with the Sony LYT 600 sensor, accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. For capturing selfies, the Poco F6 may come equipped with a 16-megapixel front camera.
Operating on the Android 14-based HyperOS, the Poco F6 is anticipated to be powered by a robust 5,000 mAh battery with support for rapid 90W fast charging.
Poco F6: Expected India price
Regarding the expected price and launch timeline of the Poco F6, it’s noteworthy that the Redmi Turbo 3 was introduced in China at 1999 Yuan, roughly translating to Rs 24,000. However, factoring in taxes and other considerations, we estimate the price of the Poco F6 to range between Rs 30,000 to Rs 35,000, aligning with our previous projections. This pricing strategy appears consistent with the precedent set by the launch price of last year’s Poco F5.
