Maruti Swift is offering hefty discounts on the older Swift alongside other Arena range of models including Alto, S-Presso, WangoR, etc.
Maruti Suzuki just launched the all-new Swift in India a couple of days ago at a starting price of Rs 6.49 lakh (ex-showroom). With the new fourth-gen Swift on sale already, the company and its dealerships are at a war footing to clear out the existing inventory of the older third-gen model.
As a result, the older Swift is being offered at hefty discounts which may attract buyers. The old Swift can be had at discounts of up to Rs 42,000. Last month, Maruti announced a price hike of the old Swift. Price of the sporty hatch was raised from Rs 5.99 lakh to Rs 6.24 lakh (both ex-showroom).

Maruti Swift May discounts
Maruti is offering discounts of up to Rs 37,000 for all the manual transmission variants of Swift. These include a consumer offer of 15,000; an exchange bonus of Rs 15,000; additional exchange bonus of Rs 5,000 for cars less than 7 years; and a corporate discount of Rs 2,000.
The AMT variants of Swift are being offered discounts of up to Rs 42,000. These include a consumer offer of 20,000; additional exchange bonus of Rs 5,000 for cars less than 7 years; and a corporate discount of Rs 2,000. Further, CNG variants of Swift get benefits of up to Rs 17,000 comprising an exchange bonus of Rs 15,000 and a corporate discount of Rs 2,000.

Besides the standard models, Maruti also has stock of a special edition model of Swift which is being offered at discounts of Rs 22,000. These include an exchange bonus of Rs 15,000; additional exchange bonus of Rs 5,000 for cars less than 7 years; and a corporate discount of Rs 2,000.

New Maruti Swift launch
Maruti Swift has been one of the strongest selling models ever since it first launched almost two decades back in 2005. In 2024, the Indo-Japanese carmaker launched the fourth-gen Swift at prices between Rs 6.49 lakh and Rs 9.65 lakh (both ex-showroom). The biggest change in the new-gen Swift is a brand new 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Z-series petrol engine which churns out 81 bhp and 112 Nm of peak torque.
Besides the updated powertrain, the new Swift gets updated exterior styling along with redesigned interiors, and additional features. Highlights include a revised front grille, reprofiled headlights and taillights, new 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and rear AC vents.
