Good News For Young Voters: Hotels, Restaurants In These Cities Offer 10-20% Discount On Meals Today

Hotels and restaurants in Maharashtra have decided to offer 10-20 per cent discount to customers who cast their votes in the ongoing general elections.

Three phases of voting have taken place out of the seven, and the fourth phase is scheduled for May 13. Many restaurants and hotels in different cities are offering 10 to 20% of the discount to woo the voters, whereas some of the organizations have come up with unique ideas like distributing sampling and offering free health checkups.

The first, second and third phases saw a voter turnout of 66.14 per cent, 66.71 per cent and 65.68 per cent respectively. Check what different offers you can get in different cities if you flaunt your inked finger.

Mahabaleshwar

In Mahabaleshwar, you can receive a 25% discount at the well-known Meghna Food Studio simply by showing an ink mark on your finger indicating you’ve voted.

Naresh Jain said, “I was planning to do something for voter awareness because I believe it’s also a part of nation-building. It’s vacation time and lots of people are coming to Mahabaleshwar, so we decided to offer the discount,” said Naresh Jain, owner of the food joint.

Hubli

The first 100 voters, who arrived to the Green Polling Station, set at the forest office in Muddebihal received saplings each at free of cost.

Belgavi

Belagavi’s Sri Ortho and Trauma Center announced free check-ups and 50% discount for voters. The facility will continue till 13th May.

Solan, Himachal

Hotels and restaurants in Solan are going to offer a 20 per cent discount to voters on polling day under  the district administration’s efforts to encourage people to vote.

The Solan administration has so far tied with 20 hotels and restaurants as part of the ‘Eat Pure, Vote For Sure’ campaign, Solan Deputy Commissioner Manmohan Sharma said, reported Deccan Herald.

More restaurants are likely to join the initiative till the voting day on June 1. Solan is part of the Shimla Lok Sabha constituency which will go to polls in the last phase of the seven-phase elections.

Gurugram 

To increase the voting percentage in the Gurugram parliamentary constituency, the District Administration has taken a unique initiative in collaboration with different multiplexes chains.

In the Gurugram district, after voting on May 25, if any voter shows his inked finger in multiplexes, he will get a discount on offline tickets available from the counter or on food and drinks available inside the cinema hall.

Not only this, the voter will also get complimentary refreshments in some multiplexes. On the initiative of District Election Officer and DC Nishant Kumar Yadav, the multiplex chain has given full assurance to the district administration to cooperate in voter awareness.

Mumbai, Maharashtra 

Hotels and restaurants in Maharashtra are going to offer 10-20 per cent discount to customers who cast their votes in the lok sabha elections.

It is an initiative “Pledge To Vote” undertaken by the Hotel and Restaurant Association (Western India) – HRAWI, to promote voter awareness and boost participation in the Lok Sabha elections 2024.
