Under this scheme, farmers need to pay only 10% of the amount for installing solar panels on their land. The central and state governments provide a 60% subsidy amount to the farmers in their bank accounts. A 30% subsidy will be provided by the central government and 30% by the state government. A 30% loan from banks is also provisioned. Farmers can easily repay this loan from the income they generate. Not only farmers but cooperative societies can also benefit from the scheme.
