Motorola will launch a new budget phone called the Moto G64 in India on April 16. The Moto G64 announcement comes hot on the heels of the Moto Edge 50 Pro, a phone that is generating rave reviews for its exhaustive feature set and aggressive price. As is usually the case with Motorola devices, the brand has already listed the product on Flipkart — its official sale partner — revealing its full design and key hardware specs leaving little to the imagination.

The Moto G64 is confirmed to come with a 6.5-inch 120Hz FHD+ display, possible IPS LCD. The screen will be protected by an unspecified version of Corning Gorilla Glass. It will have a touch sampling rate of 240Hz.

Motorola says that the Moto G64 will be the first phone in India to come with a MediaTek Dimensity 7025 processor. The phone will be offered in a choice of 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB memory trims. Powering the phone will be a 6,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. Running the show will be Android 14 software. Motorola is committing to only one year of major OS and three years of security updates.
For photography, the Moto G64 will have two cameras on the back — a 50-megapixel main sensor with optically stabilised lens and another 8-megapixel ultra wide with autofocus and so, it will double as a macro camera. The front camera will be an 8-megapixel.
The Moto G64 will be “slim, sleek, and stylish,” Motorola says. It will measure 8.89mm and weigh 192g. The phone will be IP52 certified and come in three colours. It will have a side-mounted fingerprint reader and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos playback support. The Moto G64 will also support 14 5G bands.
