Nifty Metal, Nifty Realty, Nifty Auto, Nifty Oil and Gas and Nifty MidSmall Healthcare led sectoral gains on NSE.
Market Today: Equity benchmark indices opened in green on Wednesday with the BSE Sensex rising 200 points to 74,909 and the NSE Nifty50 advancing by 50 points to 22,693.

JSW Steel, Bharti Airtel, Axis Bank, IndusInd Bank, Tata Steel, HCL Tech, RILNestle India, Infosys, Wipro, SBI led the gains on the Sensex, while Divis Labs, Jubilant Pharma and Sobha ltd led losses.
On other hand, Hindalco Industries and HUL were among top gainers on NSE Nifty 50 while Sun Pharma and ICICI Bank were among the top losers.
The broader markets opened strong with both the BSE MidCap and SmallCap indices gaining 0.45 and 0.18 per cent respectively.

Global Cues
Asian stocks were muted as investors kept watch for possible intervention by Japanese authorities to stop the yen’s decline and awaited US inflation data later on Wednesday for clues to future interest rate moves.

Tokyo stocks opened lower on Wednesday with investors expected to take a wait-and-see stance ahead of the release of US inflation data. The benchmark Nikkei 225 index dropped 0.34 percent, or 133.84 points, to 39,639.29 while the broader Topix index slipped 0.31 percent, or 8.61 points, to 2,746.08.
The S&P 500 posted nominal gains on Tuesday, a day ahead of major inflation data, weighed down by financial stocks as investors braced for major US banks to kick off earnings reporting season on Friday.
