Pune metro informed that pass holders can enjoy unrestricted travel on both metro routes, spanning from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) to Civil Court and from Vanaz to Ramwadi.
In an effort to make metro travel more affordable for the residents of Pune, Pune Metro has introduced a new daily pass priced at Rs 100. This pass will enable commuters to access unlimited metro services during the business hours of 6 am to 10 pm.
The Pune Metro made the announcement on its official X handle (formerly known as Twitter). In the tweet, Pune metro informed that pass holders can enjoy unrestricted travel on both metro routes, spanning from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) to Civil Court and from Vanaz to Ramwadi. Importantly, pass holders retain the freedom to enter and exit multiple times at any station along the route.
Passengers need to note that the Pune metro pass fee is non-refundable and no discounts apply on the same. “Get unlimited access to Pune Metro all day! Purchase your pass now,” it said in the tweet.
Pune Metro Rs 100 Pass
The development comes after PM Modi’s recent virtual inauguration of a significant 5.5km stretch of the Pune Metro. This stretch extends the Vanaz to Ramwadi line and bridging the eastern and western parts of the city. With this extension, commuters can now traverse a distance of over 14.5km in just 36 minutes, at a fare of Rs 30.
Furthermore, PM Modi also laid the foundation stone for the upcoming PCMC to Nigdi (Bhakti Shakti Chowk) route. This elevated stretch, approved by the Centre in October last year, will comprise four stations – Chinchwad, Akurdi, Nigdi, and Bhakti Shakti Chowk – spanning a total length of 4.413km, with an estimated project cost of Rs 910.18 crore.
