FLY91, a regional airline based in Goa, achieved a significant milestone on Wednesday with the acquisition of its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the apex regulatory body in aviation.
To sanction the AOC, airlines are required to mark the culmination of rigorous compliance measures. As per the press release, FLY91 has been assented to proceed with its commercial operations in the near future.

Airline from Dubai
FLY91 recently took delivery of its inaugural ATR 72-600 aircraft, leased from Dubai Aerospace Enterprise last week. This acquisition underlines the airline’s commitment to ensuring a robust and efficient fleet to cater to regional air travel demands.
Initiative under Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik
FLY91 has also secured its inaugural routes under the government’s flagship regional air connectivity initiative, Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik (UDAN). The allocated routes encompass links connecting Sindhudurg, Jalgaon, Nanded in Maharashtra, and Agatti in Lakshadweep.
