The ace Indian batter and his wife, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, shared the good news on Tuesday via social media, confirming that they have welcomed a baby boy and named them ‘Akaay’. It also helped the cricket fanatics understand why the former captain made himself unavailable for the entire Test series against England.
Prior to the commencement of the series, Kohli had informed the BCCI that he wouldn’t be able to play the first two Tests due to personal issues. Later when the squad for the last three Tests were announced, it was confirmed that he won’t be returning for the remaining series.
