With the fall in the prices of crude oil in the global market, oil rates have also changed in the retail market on Thursday morning. Government oil companies released the retail rates of petrol and diesel this morning and changes are visible in the cities of UP and Bihar. Meanwhile, the prices of crude oil in the global market have also fallen by about $1. Today, oil became expensive in the cities of UP, while the prices have come down in Bihar.
In India, the pricing of petrol and diesel is subject to influences like freight charges, value-added tax (VAT), and local taxes, resulting in different rates across states.
Petrol Diesel Price Today Rate Changes
According to government oil companies, today petrol in Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida-Greater Noida) became costlier by 42 paise to Rs 97.00 per litre. Here diesel also increased by 39 paise and is being sold at Rs 90.14 per litre. In Uttar Pradesh’s capital Lucknow, petrol has become cheaper by 10 paise to Rs 96.47 per liter and diesel has fallen by 10 paise to Rs 89.66 per litre. Apart from this, in Bihar’s capital Patna, petrol has become cheaper by 56 paise and has reached Rs 107.24 per litre, while diesel is being sold at Rs 94.04 per liter with a fall of 52 paise.

As of February 15, the price of petrol in Mumbai continued to exceed the Rs 100 mark, reaching Rs 106.31 per litre, while diesel was priced at Rs 94.27 per litre.
